I had BIG plans to head down to OIB today ... A day filled with shopping & catching up with mama! Well the Mr. caught whatever bug I had last week ...

I'm pretty sure he thinks he should be on life support at the moment ... Stayed home from work today and is {REALLY} NEEDY of some attention from this Cottage Gal!

So I'm at home ... Playing nurse to one VERY sick hubs.

Oh and FINALLY getting to that chair I showed y'all last week!

Y'all I need to send a BIG APOLOGY your way ... The blog has been AWFULLY quiet this weekend!

I've been so busy with the BIG sale at Artisans! We had SUCH great response to The PC which meant lots of sales and LOTS of driving back & forth to restock! Definitely a good problem to have!

Mama & I will be out & about tomorrow getting new things for the stores and of course trying to pick up the latest ideas for Spring!

The weather here is GORGEOUS and has definitely sparked us to start setting up Spring vignettes!

WINNER!

So most of you know that I've been pretty under the weather this week ... Well my spirits were lifted yesterday afternoon at the mailbox ... Now before you start thinking I'm a total WEIRDO ... Let me explain!

Several weeks ago, Cottage & Vine hosted a giveaway ... And one LUCKY winner was to receive this fabulous pillow!

Well y'all guess who that LUCKY winner was?! You got it! ME!

Now I don't typically win ... As in, I've never won anything in my entire life! So not only did I win but I won this FABULOUS pillow from a FABULOUS fellow blogger!

I tested it out yesterday in several spots in my house ...

I think I like it on the loveseat the best ... What do you think?

Y'all when I woke up yesterday morning, I knew that I wasn't feeling well ... I tried to blame the weather. Turns out this gal is SICK! {ugh! ugh! ugh!}

So although I had EVERY intention of working on lots of projects yesterday ... I only got as far as the couch, my laptop, and LOTS of online browsing.

But in doing so ... I found some GREAT inspirations for all things SPRING! (is anyone else as ready for it as we are?!)

chair makeover {and a sale!}

I don't know what the weather is where y'all are but here in NC ... it's RAINY & YUCKY!

But it's the perfect day for chair makeovers and sewing! :)

Remember all the new fabric I showed y'all a couple weeks ago? I'm getting started with some pillows out of some of those ... Now the hard part is going to be choosing which to use first!

I also found this CUTE little side chair the other day and have BIG things in store for it ...

Can't wait for y'all to see!

{folkart} hand-painted tin signs

So I did a BRIEF post on these yesterday ... mixed in with the Valentine's Day decor!

But I just didn't think that it showed these incredible signs justice!

Each of these tin signs is hand-painted with the cutest sayings ... And even cooler than that? All of the tin comes from buildings that were destroyed during hurricanes in Florida. What a great way to use materials that most would consider 'waste'! The family that started this company plans to 'keep it small' in fact in their words:

There's only a few of us behind the scenes here at Blackwater - we don't have aspirations at being a mega-business, only to make our mark as a "made in the USA", homegrown kind of company like the kind of small business that used to thrive in our country!

What cool people?!
