Gift Giving!

As many of you know, The Painted Cottage will be hosting our first annual Holiday Open House Novemeber 5th through the 7th. While we have been preparing for our open house, we have also been thinking about ways that we can give back to our community. After much thought and discussion, it seems we have finally come to a decision...

We hope that throughout the months of November and December that we will be able to truly make a difference in our community by being able to give generous donations to local food banks. We are hoping to enlist the help of our friends and customers for this cause.... For each bag of nonperishable food that you bring to The Painted Cottage, you will receive a special gift from us!

The food drive will kickoff the same weekend as our Holiday Open House!

Busy! Busy! Busy!

So many things going on this week...

The furniture market is in High Point this week; we are so excited to head that way and pick up some great new lines that are sure to fit in well at The Painted Cottage! We can't wait to see what you think!

Last weekend, Leigh found some great new artists that will have some things in the shop before Christmas. And yes, they're all still regional artists! For those of you who love to cook, we will be featuring some local and regional cookbooks just in time for the Holiday season!

Speaking of holidays....

We have been steadily getting the cutest Christmas decorations, gifts and much more in at the shop! Our back room is filling up quickly! We cannot wait to decorate The Painted Cottage and throw our doors open for the Holiday Open house! Don't forget.. it's November 5th through 7th! Here's a sneak peek of one of our favorite new things...

Who doesn't love a Christmas pillow?!?

Is anyone interested in 'Lunch at the Cottage'?? During the holiday season, we will be featuring weekly lunch programs at The Painted Cottage. There will be food, fun, and friends all while learning neat tricks to transform your house into a holiday house! So bring yourself or a group of ladies, we're excited to have lunch with you! For more details, call the shop... 910-579-5995.

Happy Fall!

WHEW. Summer FLEW by! We still can't believe that we have already entered the fall season. We must admit.. we are excited about the cooler weather though!

We are also so excited to start decorating for fall! We have recently gotten in some pieces from Blackwater Folkart! They are these incredibly cute, hand-painted signs made of reclaimed tin!

We just got them in several days ago and they are already selling like crazy! Come in and check them out before they are all gone!

Check back soon for more updates on the really exciting holiday events going on at The Painted Cottage!

Celebrations!

First, I think we need to start by offering a BIG apology... We fell down on our job! We promised to keep you all updated with the goings on at The Painted Cottage and it has obviously been a while!

However, we do have a fairly good excuse... Leigh's oldest daughter Lauren was married on September 26th! People kept asking when we would get stressed and although it seems that we never did... although, we did get EXTREMELY busy!

Lauren had (in our opinion) an absolutely perfect wedding day! She had a very traditional 'theme' with a touch of shabby chic... And of course she enlisted The Painted Cottage for some ideas!

We have recently started carrying a new line of frames that are perfect with all decor from shabby chic to modern to very traditional. At first sight, Lauren knew that these Obrien and Shridde frames would be exactly what would display her bridal portraits.

Speaking of weddings... We want to congratulate Cindy Hoskins on her recent marriage to Aaron Black! We absolutely love being able to celebrate with our bridal registrants! Best wishes to you both!
That's all for the excitement for now! We promise to keep updating regularly! (Really!)
